If you are working in the petrochemical, pharmaceutical, gas or power processing industry then you are potentially one of our clients. We have supplied instrument bulk materials on major projects including export to several blue chip companies. Alongside of this we supply O.E.Ms with both standard and bespoke specialised products.

Our products

In general we supply small bore Instrumentation/Process Tube, Fittings and Valves. We manufacture bespoke fittings for clients such as Mirrlees Diesels, who have used our products to achieve enhanced performance of their Diesel Engines. Other clients, we have manufactured for, include Water and Gas Industries along with petrochemical refineries. We are proactive with the Gas Industry, supplying and manufacturing profile equipment .

Compression Fittings

Used to transfer a medium of liquid or gas with pressure tight joints, involving the tightening of a ferrule (olive) against the Tube or pipe, thus ensuring no leakage of the medium being transferred. The materials and design depends upon the application. Fittings are manufactured in a wide range of materials from plastic and brass for low-pressure non-hazardous applications to Stainless Steel, Monel Super Duplex for more stringent demands. The most popular ranges available in the UK are Waverley Brownall, Swagelok, Girolok, Let-Lok, Parker A’Lok, Wade, Safelok, Hylok and Norgren to name a few. All the fittings are of a similar design and incorporate BSP, BSPT and NPT on the male and female connecting threads, however care must be taken not to mix other components from different manufacturers..

Screwed, Weld and Flanged Fittings

Manufactured to use with pipe, the fittings are designed to seal on the threads, weld, or flange sealing face. Certain flanges can be machined to provide a compression end to cut down the number of joints and potential leak points. This type of flange is special and mainly used in refineries, however they are suitable to use in any industry. Unlike compression fittings, they are manufactured to international standards such as ASTM, ASME, BS or ISO. A qualified and coded welder should carry out any pressure welds.

Valves & Manifolds

The range of valves available is vast, we specialise in small bore valves that include Ball, Needle, Metering, Check, Manifolds for instruments or Air Header Manifolds. Most valves are of BSP, NPT or BSPT threaded connections. Compression ended, welded and flanged are also available. Air header manifolds are usually designed for specific applications. The most common materials are Carbon Steel and Stainless Steel other materials are used but rarely stocked.

Tube & Pipe.

Used with all the above connections and manufactured throughout the world to exacting standards. Supplies in varying sizes and lengths dependant on the type of material required. Copper Tube is normally supplied in soft condition cols of 30M and for protection can have a PVC sheath. Half hard is supplied in 3m or 6m lengths. Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Tugam, Monel or alloy tube and pipe is also in 6m lengths. On occasion stainless steel can be supplied in coils form. Nylon and poly tubes are also used for non hazardous applications manufactured in various colours and lengths in coil form. PTFE tube and fittings are used where the medium can be corrosive and not suitable for metal.

Hydraulic & Gas Services Limited was established in 1997. Our aim is to provide an efficient source of supply for tube and pipe fittings, valves and other process equipment, used for quality installations in the power/gas & process industries.

The personnel who formed the company have many years of experience in supplying the gas and process industry. We have played an active role in many major contracts with both OEMs and contractors alike.

We have gained a reputation for the quality of our products whilst at the same time never letting the pursuit of profit compromise our integrity. As a result of this value we have become the largest distributor/stockholder for Waverley Brownall in the UK. We also supply many other products, as you will see on our Product pages. The range we offer is vast with over 2000 stock items and others sourced within 24 hours from approved suppliers.
