Waverley Brownall Ltd is a manufacturer of Single and Twin ferrule compression fittings manufactured in 316 Stainless Steel. The fittings go by the trade name of Duoloc for the single ferrule and Ringlok for the twin ferrule. Both these products are not interchangeable.

The company was created by the acquisition of Brownall Ltd of Oldham at the end of the 90s by Waverley Components thus making Waverley Brownall Ltd of today.

The Duoloc single ferrule stainless steel compression fitting is used extensively in the Gas industry. It has a good corrosion resistance, along with a unique design feature that has made it an industry standard over the past thirty years. The upgrade of the design was to replace to old type Ermeto fittings.

Duoloc, Stainless Steel Compression fittings work extremely well with 316 Stainless Steel tube conforming to ASTM A269 which recommends a hardness of 90RB, if the tube is harder than this it will cause problems for any type of Stainless Steel compression fitting as it will not form a bite (groove) in the outer surface of the Stainless Steel Tube. If the tube is harder than recommended the ferrule will eventually blow off.

Stainless Steel Duoloc compression fittings produced by Waverley Brownall have a hard tip at the front cutting edge of the ferrule to form the bite into the tube. The Ringlok Waverley Brownall compression fitting has two ferrules where the rear ferrule forms the bite and the front forms an indentation to grip the tube.
